War Child Angry Mob is created to motivate young people to learn more about the world that they inhabit and improve their lives and the lives of others by speaking out. War Child is a non-government organization (NGO) founded in 1993, which focuses on providing assistance to children in areas of conflict and post-conflict. (Registered Charity 1071659).
Through this site you will get the chance to explore the issues affecting young people today and connect with others as you take action to make positive change. To join our socially networking family you simply need to fill in our registration form and agree to our fair (even if we do say so ourselves) terms and conditions.
You will get access to up to the minute news and forums as well as a chance to express your views through blogs. Before you get going though, please read the following information and agree to them!

War Child will collect some personal information at the point of registration which will remain private at all times (with the exception of your public username) and will never be sold, rented or disclosed to any third party organization. We do however reserve the right to release your information to the authorities if you’ve acted inappropriately! We only collect information that you have given us in the registration process and we will ask for your:
a. name
b. home town
c. e-mail address
d. telephone number
e. date of birth
e. user profile name
As well as the information you have given us, we also gather information about how people use the website. This is not connected to you personally and is assessed as a combined set of information from all our members to help us understand how our site is used and how we can make it better for all you lovely people.
Staying safe and all that
Your War Child Profile is password-protected. This means that only you will be able to access your personal information. Try not give your password to anyone and if you are using a shared or public computer, we suggest that you logout and sign off from the computer when you are finished --this will help protect your information. When you create your username and password, please avoid using personally identifiable information such as your full name.
We will make sure that when you are using the blogs and forums that the only information that is made public will be your assigned username. However it goes without saying that any comments and posts that you place on the site will be viewable by fellow members. You should take care to not reveal personal information about yourself such as your full name, address, phone number or personal email.
If anyone asks you to reveal personal information about yourself or makes you feel uncomfortable in anyway then please report them using the report abuse button or by emailing us at angrymob@warchild.org.uk
War Child will do everything in our power to keep the information that you provide us with secure, however no technology is 100% secure so remember that you are registering at your own risk.
Use of Cookies (and no, we don’t mean the ones with chocolate chips)
A cookie is a bit of data that goes on your computer so we can remember who you are. It means that you don’t need to type in your password every time you visit Angry Mob. If you don’t like having cookies, you can turn them off in your browser.
The stuff you agree NOT to do
This site contains hyperlinks to Web sites operated by others. These hyperlinks are provided because we’re just that nice and helpful. However we do not control and are not responsible for the content or services at other Web sites.
You should not misuse or misrepresent any of the materials contained on this site. Use of the get involved material for illegal purposes or for personal financial gain is not allowed.
The content of posted materials, messages, or other communications do not necessarily reflect the views of War Child. We reserve the right, without notice, to remove any content or communication.

War Child does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage that may occur in connection with this site, including any interruption or delays.
You should not post material that you don’t own the copyright to as this is illegal. War Child will remove such material. You as a user accept total responsibility for your activity with the website.
You should not:
• Post, promote or distribute illegal material. This includes the use of images/video that do not belong to you.
• Post sexually explicit material in text video or photograph form
• Harass, threaten, embarrass or do anything to deliberately make another member feel uncomfortable. (You wouldn’t like it done to you so don’t do it to anyone else)
• Use vulgar or abusive language or deliberately prevent the free exchange of personal views.
• Pretend to be someone you’re not. No impersonations thank you very much!
• Ask anyone for their full identity or password.
• Use War Child – Angry Mob for advertising or promotion of a commercial venture. Unless it’s for charity this is not the place.

Comments attacking a person’s race, religion, gender or sexuality will not be tolerated.
Anyone repeatedly found to be posting offensive material or abusing the site can be removed from the network. We reserve the right to cancel membership of anyone at anytime.
We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms whenever we want.
