War Child will collect some personal information at the point of registration which will remain private at all times (with the exception of your public username) and will never be sold, rented or disclosed to any third party organization. We do however reserve the right to release your information to the authorities if you’ve acted inappropriately! We only collect information that you have given us in the registration process and we will ask for your:

a. name
b. home town
c. e-mail address
d. telephone number
e. date of birth
e. user profile name

As well as the information you have given us, we also gather information about how people use the website. This is not connected to you personally and is assessed as a combined set of information from all our members to help us understand how our site is used and how we can make it better for all you lovely people.

Staying safe and all that

Your War Child Profile is password-protected. This means that only you will be able to access your personal  information. Try not give your password to anyone and if  you are using a shared or public computer, we suggest that you logout and sign off from the computer when you are finished --this will help protect your information. When you create your username and password, please avoid using personally identifiable information such as your full name.
 
We will make sure that when you are using the blogs and forums that the only information that is made public will be your assigned username. However it goes without saying that any comments and posts that you place on the site will be viewable by fellow members. You should take care to not reveal personal information about yourself such as your full name, address, phone number or personal email.

If anyone asks you to reveal personal information about yourself or makes you feel uncomfortable in anyway then please report them using the report abuse button or by emailing us at angrymob@warchild.org.uk 

War Child will do everything in our power to keep the information that you provide us with secure, however no technology is 100% secure so remember that you are registering at your own risk.
