Family reintegration

Ultimately we want all the children we work with to be accepted back into their local community and ideally go back to live with their families. By asking children themselves what they need and speaking to the adults who may be blocking them we have built better relationships between the two groups.

In order to help the young people rebuild their lives we offer help in the form of money grants or job training. We have targeted certain groups, such as child-mothers or children who need to support their younger brothers or sisters. Sometimes providing these young people with a qualification or a way of earning money can help reunite them with their families as they are seen las being less of a problem and instead they are viewed to be useful.
