raising awareness

We have tried to raise awareness in the local community about the rights of children and the responsibilities of the community by using local radio stations. The children who we work with have run programmes reporting on the news and even interviewed politicians.

We have also held public debates and workshops, some of them have even been broadcast on the radio meaning that they reach a much wider audience. During a survey we conducted 80% of randomly selected carers within our project told us that attitudes and behaviour towards children and their rights had changed for the better.
